elementor-size-default\">Abstract<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ad10ceb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ad10ceb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Electric heat pumps and the production of energy using photovoltaics are two systems that allow us to reduce the primary fossil fuel energy needs of a building to almost zero if not actually zero. <br \/>Combining the two technologies is the easiest solution for creating a Nearly Zero Energy Building (NZEB). In this paper we describe a Heat Pump and Photovoltaic (HP+PV) technology where, due to the use of the FEBOS-HP system (with electrical tracking), the quantity of electricity produced by photovoltaics is used to activate the Heat Pump and store the thermal energy produced in the radiant panel using Thermal Energy Storage (TES). The article also provides an example related to a real case study applied to a residential building in Italy.
